How to Donate Crypto from OKX (Step by Step)

Donating to charity from OKX uses the exchange's on-chain withdrawal: you send crypto from your OKX balance straight to the charity's payment address. The process is quick — the one thing to get right is the network. Here's how to do it.

Before you start

  • An OKX account with some crypto and your 2FA method at hand.
  • The charity's donation page open to get the payment address.

Menu names can vary slightly between the OKX website and app, by region, and by app version, but the steps are the same.

Step 1 — Get the charity's address

On the charity's donate page, pick an amount and coin. The checkout shows the exact payment address, the network it expects, and the amount to send. On TraceGood you can also choose Other coin or network and pay with any of 200+ coins and networks at checkout. Keep the page open.

Step 2 — Open Withdraw in OKX

  1. Go to Assets and choose Withdraw (in the app, Withdraw is also available from the main menu).
  2. Choose Withdraw crypto and select the coin you want to donate.
  3. Pick On-chain withdrawal — not the internal transfer to another OKX user.

Withdrawals come out of your Funding account. If your coins are in your Trading account, use Transfer to move them to Funding first.

Step 3 — Enter the address and pick the network ⚠️

  1. Paste the charity's address as a new destination.
  2. Select the network. OKX often matches it to the address automatically, but when several networks are possible you must choose — for example ERC20 for an Ethereum address, TRC20 for TRON, or the Bitcoin network for BTC. It has to match the charity's checkout.
  3. If the checkout shows a memo or tag (used by coins such as XRP, XLM, and TON), fill it in. Without it, the payment can't be matched to you.
  4. Enter the amount.

Sending on the wrong network can cause the funds to be lost. When in doubt, match exactly what the charity's donation page shows.

Step 4 — Confirm and withdraw

Review the summary. OKX shows the withdrawal fee, which varies by coin and network, and each coin has a minimum withdrawal. Check that the amount the charity will receive matches what the checkout asks for, then complete the 2FA verification (authenticator, email, or SMS code) and confirm.

Step 5 — Verify your donation

After OKX processes the request, the transfer settles on-chain — usually within minutes. Your withdrawal history shows the transaction ID, which you can look up on a block explorer. That's your permanent receipt proving the gift arrived.

Quick tips

  • Network match is everything — double-check it before confirming.
  • Expect a wait after security changes. Like most exchanges, OKX can temporarily restrict withdrawals after you change your password or 2FA, or when you withdraw to a brand-new address.
  • Allowlist users: if you've turned on OKX's address allowlist, you'll need to add the charity's address before you can withdraw to it.
  • Test with a small amount if it's your first time.

That's all there is to it. Make a donation, or learn which cryptocurrency to choose.
