Exodus is a popular self-custody wallet for desktop, mobile, and browser that supports a wide range of coins across many networks. You hold your own keys, so donating is simply a matter of sending from your wallet to the charity's address — no withdrawal approvals, no waiting on an exchange. Here's the step-by-step.
Before you start
- The Exodus app with some crypto.
- Enough of the network's native coin for the network fee — for example, a little ETH to send tokens on Ethereum, TRX for tokens on TRON, or SOL for tokens on Solana.
- The charity's donation page open for the payment address.
Menu names may vary slightly between desktop and mobile and by app version, but the flow is the same.
Step 1 — Get the charity's address
On the charity's donate page, choose an amount and coin. The checkout shows the exact payment address, the network it expects, and the amount to send. On TraceGood you can also choose Other coin or network to pay with any of 200+ coins and networks at checkout — useful, since Exodus holds many less common assets. Keep the page open.
Step 2 — Pick the asset in Exodus
- Open Exodus and go to the Wallet tab.
- Select the asset you want to donate. If you don't see it, enable it in your asset list first.
Exodus lists the same token separately for each network — USDT on Ethereum and USDT on TRON are different entries. Pick the one on the network the checkout expects.
Step 3 — Send ⚠️
- Click or tap Send.
- If the asset offers a network dropdown, choose the network that matches the checkout.
- Paste the charity's address, or scan its QR code.
- Enter the amount shown at checkout.
- If the checkout shows a memo or destination tag (used by coins such as XRP, XLM, and TON), add it in the memo/tag field.
Sending on the wrong network can cause the funds to be lost. When in doubt, match exactly what the charity's donation page shows.
Step 4 — Review and confirm
Exodus shows the recipient, amount, and network fee. The fee goes to the blockchain, not to the charity. Check the address one more time — crypto transfers can't be reversed — then confirm (on mobile, you slide to send). The transaction is broadcast right away.
Step 5 — Verify your gift
It confirms on-chain within minutes, depending on the network. Open the transaction in the asset's history to see the transaction ID and view it on a block explorer — anyone can use it to confirm the donation arrived.
Quick tips
- Keep some native coin for fees (ETH, TRX, SOL, etc.) so token transfers can go through.
- Match the network, especially for stablecoins that exist on several chains.
- Never share your 12-word recovery phrase. No charity or checkout ever needs it.
- Test with a small amount if it's your first time.
Donating from Exodus is as easy as sending to a contact. Give now, or read about stablecoin donations without the volatility.
