How to Donate Crypto from Bybit (Step by Step)

Sep 21, 2026 · 3 min read · The TraceGood Team

If your crypto sits on Bybit, you donate it with an on-chain withdrawal: Bybit sends the coins from your account to the charity's payment address. It takes a few minutes, and the only part that needs real care is choosing the right chain. Here's the step-by-step.

Before you start

  • A Bybit account with some crypto, with your security settings (email verification and Google Authenticator, if you use it) ready.
  • The charity's donation page open to get the payment address.

Menu names can vary slightly between the Bybit website and app, and between app versions, but the flow is the same.

Step 1 — Get the charity's address

On the charity's donate page, pick an amount and coin. The checkout shows the exact payment address, the network it expects, and the amount to send. On TraceGood, choosing Other coin or network lets you pay with any of 200+ coins and networks at checkout — handy if you hold something less common. Keep the page open.

Step 2 — Open Withdraw in Bybit

  1. Go to Assets (on the website, it's under your profile icon; in the app, it's in the bottom bar).
  2. Open your Funding Account and choose Withdraw. If your coins are in a different account, such as your trading account, use Transfer to move them to Funding first.
  3. Select the coin you want to donate and make sure the On-chain withdrawal option is selected — not the internal transfer to another Bybit user.

Step 3 — Enter the address and pick the chain ⚠️

  1. Paste the charity's address into the wallet address field. (You can also save it to your Address Book first, but for a one-off donation pasting is enough unless you've switched on address whitelisting.)
  2. Select the chain that matches the checkout — for example ERC20 for an Ethereum address, TRC20 for a TRON address, or BTC for Bitcoin.
  3. If the checkout shows a memo or tag (used by coins such as XRP, XLM, and TON), enter it in the memo/tag field. Leave it empty only if the checkout doesn't show one.
  4. Enter the amount.

Sending on the wrong network can cause the funds to be lost. When in doubt, match exactly what the charity's donation page shows.

Step 4 — Confirm and withdraw

Review the summary. Bybit shows its withdrawal fee and the amount the recipient will receive — make sure the received amount matches what the checkout asks for. Each coin and chain also has a minimum withdrawal. Submit, then enter the verification codes Bybit asks for (email code and authenticator code).

Step 5 — Verify your donation

Once Bybit processes the withdrawal, it settles on-chain, usually within minutes. Your withdrawal history shows the transaction ID, which you can look up on a block explorer — your permanent receipt proving the gift arrived.

Quick tips

  • Network match is everything — double-check the chain before you submit.
  • Watch for withdrawal locks. If you've enabled the security setting that holds withdrawals to newly added addresses, or you've just changed your password or 2FA, Bybit may pause withdrawals for a while.
  • Stablecoins on low-fee chains are cheap and fast if the charity's checkout supports them.
  • Test with a small amount if it's your first time.

That's all there is to it. Make a donation, or read whether it's safe to donate cryptocurrency.
