Trust Wallet is a popular self-custody mobile wallet that supports many coins — Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, and thousands of tokens. Because you hold your own keys, donating is quick and entirely in your control. Here's the step-by-step.
Before you start
- The Trust Wallet app with some crypto.
- Enough of the coin's native token for the network fee (e.g. a little ETH for Ethereum tokens, BNB for BNB chain).
- The charity's donation page open for the payment address.
Step 1 — Get the charity's address
On the charity's donate page, choose an amount and coin. Copy the payment address (or get ready to scan its QR code), and note the network it expects.
Step 2 — Pick the coin in Trust Wallet
Open Trust Wallet and tap the coin you want to donate (for example Bitcoin, Ethereum, or a stablecoin). If you don't see your token, make sure it's enabled in your wallet.
Step 3 — Send
- Tap Send.
- Scan the QR code on the donation page, or paste the address.
- Enter the amount shown.
- Confirm the network matches the charity's checkout.
Step 4 — Confirm
Review the details and the network fee, then confirm. Trust Wallet broadcasts the transaction right away.
Step 5 — Verify your gift
It confirms on-chain within minutes. Trust Wallet shows the transaction ID, which you (or anyone) can look up on a block explorer to confirm the donation arrived.
Tips
- Scan the QR code when you can — it avoids address typos.
- Keep some native token for fees (ETH, BNB, etc.) so the transfer can go through.
- Match the network to what the charity expects, especially for stablecoins.
